POW Premieres New Patagonia Film “Drop” with Q&A from Hilary Hutcheson, Liam Gallagher & Dave McCoy

Rick Crawford

I was attending IFTD in 2019 and bumped into Hilary Hutcheson, who was kind enough to do an interview for The Sustainable Angler back when it was just a Q&A blog series and not a podcast, and she introduced me to filmmaker Liam Gallagher. They mentioned they were making a film that followed a drop of water from the Rocky Mountains of Montana all the way to the Pacific Ocean and met people along the way working to solve the climate crisis in their own ways. Needless to say I was stoked when Liam called and asked if I could fly out to Montana to do some filming and fishing. It was a blast getting to see a part of Montana I had never seen before and awesome getting to know and meet some incredible people working to solve the climate crisis.

I am humbled, honored and grateful to have been a (small) part of the new Patagonia film DROP, which made its debut on Earth Day over on Protect Our Winters. I am also very proud to have worked with Liam and Hilary to make DROP a carbon neutral film!

Special thanks to Liam Gallagher and Hilary Hutcheson for all you do to protect what you love, and I hope you enjoy the film and the Q&A with Hilary, Liam and Dave!
