Emerger Strategies: Sustainability Consulting

The Sustainable Angler Podcast: Climate Change Panel Discussion from IFTD

Rick Crawford

This episode of The Sustainable Angler Podcast was recorded live at the International Fly Tackle Dealer (IFTD) show in Orlando in July 2018 and I decided to release it as a podcast episode, so it’s “from the archives”… Maybe I’ll start calling these “Rick’s Picks” like the famous Grateful Dead archive releases, Dick’s Picks! Ha! Anyways, I would like to thank the American Fly Fishing Trade Association (AFFTA) for the opportunity to moderate The Sustainable Angler: Climate Change Panel Discussion at the International Fly Tackle Dealer (IFTD). It is truly humbling to be marrying my passion for fly fishing and sustainability and bringing sustainability to the fly fishing industry. I would also like to thank the panelists: Dr. Aaron Adams from Bonefish & Tarpon Trust, Garrison Doctor from RepYourWater, Hilary Hutcheson from Lary’s Fly & Supply, and John Land Le Coq from Fishpond for being willing to participate and discuss the impact climate change is having on our fisheries and businesses and sharing their success stories!

I hope you enjoy the podcast/discussion as these brands and organizations have made some amazing progress in fighting climate change and share some very interesting insights…
