Erie, Colo. July 9, 2021 – RepYourWater has released their 2020 Sustainability Report and continues to demonstrate leadership in the fly fishing industry by maintaining a zero-waste status, achieving carbon neutrality from their Scope 1 (direct greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from operations), Scope 2 (indirect GHG emissions from purchased electricity) & Scope 3 (indirect GHG emissions upstream & downstream value chain) and donating 3% of their annual sales to their environmental nonprofit partners.
RepYourWater began its sustainability journey in 2011, after donating a portion of sales to their local chapter of Trout Unlimited. Nine years later, they have surpassed all of their sustainability goals for 2020, which included donating over $250,000 to their nonprofit conservation partners, volunteering over 200 hours, going zero waste in their operations, and achieving carbon neutrality across their Scope 1, 2 & 3 greenhouse gas emissions.
Looking to the future, RepYourWater set even more substantial sustainability goals for 2025, including donating $500,000 to their nonprofit conservation partners, volunteering 500 hours, maintaining zero waste and carbon neutrality. They are also focusing more on their supply chain and products, with the aim of 100% of products being packaged using recycled materials or without packaging; 50% of products being made with recycled content or organic materials; and 25% of headwear containing recycled or organic materials.
