The Sustainable Angler Podcast: Indifly Executive Director Matt Shilling

Posted on March 12, 2021

Rick Crawford

In this episode of The Sustainable Angler, I interview Indifly Executive Director Matt Shilling and we talk about everything from that fact that Indigenous people are the protectors of 80% of the world’s biodiversity; how Indifly is empowering Indigenous people around the world to own and operate fly fishing ecotourism businesses that “provide sustainable livelihoods, generate community-wide economic benefits, and create incentives for the protection of Indigenous homelands;” and Matt shares some incredible success stories from Rewa Eco Lodge in Guyana, Anaa Atoll in French Polynesia and the Wind River Reservation in Wyoming. To learn more about Indifly and support their mission, please visit: www.indifly.org.
Special thanks to Indifly Executive Director Matt Shilling for all they do to empower Indiginous people to continue to protect the world’s remaining biodiversity.
