Climate change is already impacting our fisheries — from warming waters and Hoot Owl restrictions to wildfires and shifting species migrations. The time to act is now.

Join us for a hands-on webinar where Emerger Strategies’ founder Rick Crawford will guide you through how to measure your company’s Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions using the EPA’s Simplified GHG Emissions Calculator. You’ll also get a high-level overview of Scope 3 emissions and how to start preparing for emerging regulations and retailer expectations.

What You’ll Learn:

  • What Scopes 1, 2 & 3 GHG emissions are (in plain English)
  • How to collect the right data from your energy bills and fuel receipts
  • A live demo of the EPA’s free calculator to measure Scope 1 & 2 emissions
  • Why measuring and reducing your carbon footprint can lower costs and mitigate climate risk

What to Bring:

To follow along with the live demo, gather the following 2024 (12-month) data in advance:

  • 🔥 Heating usage (therms) – found on your natural gas utility bill
  • ⛽ Fuel used in company vehicles (gallons of gas/diesel)
  • ⚡ Purchased electricity (kWh) – also on your utility bills

Why It Matters:

Reducing your GHG emissions isn’t just good for the planet—it’s smart business. By identifying opportunities for energy efficiency and considering renewable energy like solar, companies are cutting costs while protecting the fisheries we all depend on.
