Sustainability Compliance for Fishing & Outdoor Brands

We are Committed to Protecting What We Love – Join Us!

Posted on April 16, 2024

At Emerger Strategies, we don’t just consult on sustainability; we live it. As proud members of 1% for the Planet since our inception in 2016, we dedicate 1% of our annual sales to environmental causes. We also practice what we preach, which is why our commitment goes beyond advice, and why we are also Climate Neutral Certified. Being a Climate Neutral Certified company means we have measured our Scope 1, 2 & 3 GHG emissions, created a Climate Action Plan to reduce our emissions, and purchased credible carbon offsets to achieve Climate Neutral Certification. We believe that doing good is good for business, and being environmental stewards of the resources that we use as a business, as well as enjoy as anglers, is our way of demonstrating our commitment to protect what we love.

Why We Joined 1% for the Planet

  • Commitment to Impact: Pollution, climate change, and habitat degradation pose serious risks to our fisheries. That’s why we are committed to making a real impact by funding diverse environmental nonprofits addressing these issues, such as: Charleston Waterkeeper, The Sustainability Institute, Bonefish & Tarpon Trust, and Protect Our Winters to name a few.
  • Transparency and Accountability: Every dollar contributed is an investment in a sustainable future, ensuring transparent and impactful use of the funds.
  • Community and Collaboration: Joining 1% for the Planet allows us to collaborate with like-minded businesses and individuals who are equally passionate about preserving the natural world.

Why We Are a Climate Neutral Certified Business

  • Comprehensive Carbon Accountability: We measure our Scope 1, 2 & 3 emissions, from operations to our entire value chain, ensuring full transparency.
  • Reduction and Offsetting: Not only do we actively reduce our emissions, but we also offset what we can’t reduce by investing in high-quality carbon credits, supporting projects like reforestation, renewable energy, and community development.
  • Continuous Improvement: Our commitment is ongoing. We annually reassess our impact, always striving for lower emissions and greater environmental integrity.

Our purpose is to protect what we love, and being a 1% for the Planet member, as well as a Climate Neutral Certified business helps exemplify our values, and our commitment to our purpose.

If you are a like-minded business owner, choose Emerger Strategies for your sustainable business needs. Together, we can protect the planet and drive positive change. Contact us today to learn how your business can also make a difference through 1% for the Planet.
