If you’ve ever had the privilege of catching a wild cutthroat trout, then you know the difference between a wild trout and a hatchery fish immediately. Wild cutthroat are as fiesty as they are beautiful and the Rio Grande cutthroat is no exception and they are also responsible for saving Questa, New Mexico in the Trout Unlimited’s latest film, “Querencia.”
This film highlights the small village of Questa, New Mexico and shows its resiliency and willingness to rebuild itself based on the impressive natural surroundings it is nestled in, which I think is a valuable lesson for all in that as the world continues to change, we must also protect and conserve our natural resources, which provide economic opportunities for people and planet to thrive together.
