RepYourWater Surpasses Goal of Donating $250K to Conservation Partners
Erie, CO (September 1, 2020) – RepYourWater has always exemplified their values by giving a minimum of 3% of every sale to their nonprofit conservation partners, such as local chapters of Trout Unlimited, Backcountry Hunters & Anglers, Bonefish & Tarpon Trust and Wild Steelhead Coalition, because RepYourWater measures their success by how much they can give back. However, beginning in 2017, RepYourWater set a difficult goal of donating $250,000 to conservation by the end of 2020. They have been tracking their journey through Annual Sustainability Reports, and as of August 2020, RepYourWater achieved their goal, and are thrilled to announce, they have officially donated $258K to conservation, four months ahead of schedule.
RepYourWater Co-Founder, Garrison Doctor, had this to say about their effort to support conservation, “Thank you to our customers, who are fiercely loyal to us, and I think that has a lot to do with the fact that they genuinely care about supporting conservation and our products are a way for them to do just that! We will set our sites on some new conservation donation goals, and we are also really excited about a new initiative called the Fly Fishing Climate Alliance that we are a proud member of, and is an alliance of guides, shops, lodges and brands that are pledging to go carbon neutral by 2030.”
RepYourWater will always donate a minimum of 3% of their sales back to conservation and know that their customers will similarly appreciate their efforts to continuously improve by going carbon neutral because climate change is the single greatest threat to fish on the planet.
